Good news for  Nepal Tourism

The Nepal government’s decision to require quarantine for tourists who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus or with a 72-hour PCR report has boosted the tourism sector. The procedure submitted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has been approved by the Council of Ministers.

The cabinet has also decided to issue an arrival visa to tourists from Tribhuvan International Airport. The government had also stopped on arrival visas along with the lockdown last year. Director-General of the Department of Tourism Rudra Singh Tamang said that a tourism environment will be created in Nepal with the government’s decision.

“It will be easier now as the government has made a decision long after the proposal was sent,” said Rudra Singh Tamang, director-general of the tourism department. Tamang also informed us that they are preparing to test the PCR sample at the airport. The government has also abolished the $ 5,000 corona insurance requirement for foreign tourists.

Since October 20, the government had made an arrangement that tourists who want to come to Nepal should come to Nepal only with a visa from the Nepali Mission in the same country on the recommendation of businessmen and bodies related to travel and tourism. Source: Nepal News

Mustang Adventure Himalaya Trekking Review

Everest Pioneer Trek Nepa (p) Ltd.l recently provided a custom trek for us in the Mustang region. This combined the interpretation of the Tibetan culture heritage area with the blue skies and big mountain views of the arid Himalayan rain shadow. Sort of like Grand Canyon meets the world’s biggest mountains.
Not only was the trip well planned and guided in a fast-changing region with great care taken of us, but the unexpected was taken in stride when my wife became briefly ill. Local knowledge and connections resolved the problem without affecting the success of the trip. She loved her horseback ride for that part of the trek.
The owner, guide and porter, all Nepalis, obviously enjoyed this area themselves and knew it thoroughly. We would recommend this company highly.

Adventure Mustang Himalaya Trekking in Nepal

The Adventure Mustang trek passes through high peaks, passes, glaciers, and alpine valleys. The thousands of years of isolation has kept the culture, lifestyle and heritage remain unchanged for centuries and to this date. The houses in Mustang are mostly made from stone and sun-baked mud bricks. The city wall and the four-story palace in Lo-Manthang are some of the beautiful architectures of the Mustang region.

Another attraction in the Mustang region is the Tiji Festival influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, which is timed to coincide with the end of the dry season (Springs/summer). The Mustang people have their own way of family life, which is quite surprising for many outsiders. All the brothers in the family are married to a single girl, what you may call a practice of polyandry to make a trip to Mustang will be memorable in life…
